SNAP COUNTRY USA WHY READ THE INTERNET ANYWHERE ELSE

I am: On the verge of finishing the summer term of my teacher program. I have to write this three page paper this afternoon, which I feel
like is not That hard, but I also know it will be hard for me. I like to make my writing as drawn out and consuming as possible, so I will,
in fact, probably stay up until 3AM writing it. However, I am here, on the internet.
The reason I'm writing is simply to ask the question of the slang term "noshing" or, as I just saw it spelled, "gnoshing." This means, to my
contextual knowledge, eating. But why this word? It gives me such a visceral gross out reaction. It makes me think that this is the kind of eating
you do with drooling, or like - some giant, imaginary, pastel-colored tropical fruit that you eat really fast - and nosh is the sound that people make
as they chew. Which, to be clear, makes me feel uncomfortable.
Oh, goodness. I just looked this up in my dictionary - it's both a verb AND a noun. Etymology: Early 20th century Yiddish. It refers to a snack
or light food, or the act of eating those things. I wonder why I am so bothered by that word. I guess, now that I have made the choice to learn about
it, I am less bothered by it. It is not actually noisy or gluttonous - it's just a snack. I don't think I will make the choice to implement this
in my vocabulary, but at least I am a more informed citizen. Anyway, my least favorite word is still plump. It's just really hard for me.
